It’s pronounced tri·umph, or /ˈtrīəmf/, meaning a great victory or achievement. It’s also a noun. But what does this have to do with a coffee shop, anyway? Keep reading to find out why we chose this name, and why it’s still relevant five years later.
Let’s back-up a second. We recently celebrated our fifth birthday in June. That’s right, we made it a whole five years! We even had free birthday cake and a chance to draw a % off your order that day.
Now, back to our name. To us, ‘coffee’ is more than a delightful routine. Coffee is in our hearts, and it’s always been our dream to serve our community via this intricate delicacy. There’s a certain sense of euphoria when you wrap your hands around a hot cup of coffee that began as a seed high in the mountains of the Southern hemisphere. A memorable cup of coffee, whether enjoyed alone or in good company, will stick with you throughout the day. This lasting memory of what some might just brush off as a ‘hot drink’ or a ‘pick-me-up’, is to us a reminder of the intricacies of life itself – just like an honestly grown and carefully roasted coffee.
And to us, a ‘business’ is more than just a way to earn a living. It’s a culture that resides in us.
We’ve created a space that was both inviting and accessible, but contemporary and understated. Inside these walls, we hope people feel encouraged to achieve their daily and life desires. Whether it’s grandiose career moves, planning trips or simply reading a novel, we’ve curated a space that let’s event your wildest dreams run wild (even if they’re not that wild). We’re also strong believers growing together as a community. Together, we can accomplish great things, we just need to speak candidly and remind ourselves to slow down every now and then and enjoy the simple stuff (like coffee!).
So, in short, the name Triumph, although it may have sounded a little premature to some when we first opened our doors, was chosen with you in mind. It is a nod to your achievements of the past, the present and the future. Because together, we triumph.
